A fund has been set up to by a Bullitt County detective to help cover Savannah's medical care at the People's Bank of Bullitt County.

Savannah's Story
This tragic story is about our Savannah. Savannah Papia was born on September 10, 2007. From that moment she was the Love Light in so many peoples lives.
Her biological father had just recently come into the picture after about 9 months of Savannah's life. He wanted parental rights. Savannah's mother and step-father (my son) decided the best thing for the baby was to extend her family to include the biological father and grand parents.
They set up regular visitation with the biological father and grand parents and everything was fine until that Sunday. Just 4 days after her 1st birthday our phone rang....
Our Savannah was viciously brutalized on one of her visits to her biological father. From that moment on Savannah's world has been crushed beyond hope for any kind of meaningful recovery.
Police reports indicate her injuries are not consistent with a" fall off a rocking toy while he was in the other room" as stated by the now incarcerated biological father but rather a much greater force such as a high impact car crash.
She is on a respirator, feeding tube and will never walk again, if she lives. We will never hear her first words, she will never take her first steps. Her brain has simply been destroyed by the terrible beating she endured. Our baby girl is gone as we knew her and never to return.
How can you help? This young family needs your help to survive this tragedy. We ask for your prayers so that perhaps some peace may come into their lives at this time of need and prepare them for a life destroyed by the senseless act of violence against an infant.
